Foster Homes are given an honest evaluation of the temperament regarding a dog we have to place. Oftentimes, the complete history of a rescued dog may not be known and behavioral or temperament problems might emerge which, on rare occasions, may be serious enough to raise safety concerns or questions regarding suitability for adoption.

Foster Homes work with a Rescue Representative and that Representative has the ultimate responsibility for the dog and the right to place it as he/she feels is appropriate. We do work with the Foster and value their feedback, as they know the Foster Dog best.

FHR Dogs are to be kept on a leash and are not allowed to run in unfenced areas. NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES ARE TO BE USED AT ANY TIME. You agree that you must have control of the dog at all times,

All of the above information I have given is true and complete. I agree to follow all the Rules and Procedures of FHR I will not hold FHR responsible for any damage, injury, or harm caused directly or indirectly to any person or property by any dog I may decide to volunteer my time to help. While FHR strives to protect your information, FHR cannot ensure or warrant the security of such information. Thank you for volunteering to become a Foster Home for FHR. One of our representatives should be contacting you shortly after receiving your application. If you have not received a response (by phone, mail or e-mail) in 14 working days, please do not assume you were not approved. Please try contacting the representative who sent you the application.
