Ready to adopt?
Please read the list below of general requirements for adopting families. We do understand each situation is unique and that no two adopters are the same so please don’t be discouraged if you feel you may not “meet” one of the criteria listed below.
Cost to Adopt. Furever Home Rescue is a non-profit organization and your adoption fee may be tax deductible. Each dog incurs individual vet care and the adoption fee is based on what each dog needs. All dogs are spayed or neutered unless age or health conditions are a factor; tested for heartworms, ehrlichiosis, (a Phagocytophilum and lyme disease); is on monthly heartworm preventative; up-to-date on vaccinations; treated for parasites, and micro chipped. The adoption fee is between $200 and $450. Puppies are $450 under 12 months. Adoption fees are individual to each pet and veterinarian fees incurred. Furever Home Rescue is an all-volunteer staff. There is no one that gets paid, so you’re donation helps these dogs have a healthy life and find loving homes. Besides the adoption for individual dogs, any and all help is gratefully accepted and very much appreciated.
The first step of the process is to fill out and submit an application. Once an application is submitted you will receive an email outlining our adoption procedure. We respond to communication Monday - Friday from 10a-7p. Weekend are reserved for Special Events
Having your pet up to date on vaccines, heartworm prevention and living as an inside family pet is a requirement for adoption. We do not adopt dogs that are intended to be living outside or working dogs. We also limit the number of dogs into the home, normally three but we will consider a fourth dog into the home after a personal interview is conducted.
